ABOUT
Elliot Choate is an actor, singer, and dancer from the San Francisco Bay Area, currently pursuing his BFA in Music Theatre at Elon University. He is making his international theatrical debut as Henry in the world premiere of Antigone 1989: A Town Hall Musical at the 2026 Edinburgh Festival Fringe.
Elliot grew up surrounded by the arts, and theatre pretty quickly became his whole world. As a kid, he spent just as much time performing as he did playing dress-up in his older sister’s costumes and building stories with his dolls. He also briefly pursued soccer, which he very officially retired from in fourth grade to focus on theatre full-time. From there, he threw himself into performing and was fortunate to take part in productions throughout his childhood.
In high school, Elliot continued to grow as an artist both onstage and behind the scenes. He assistant-directed and choreographed Legally Blonde with Sixth Street Playhouse’s Teen Players program, then took on another creative role as assistant director of Metamorphoses at his high school. Those experiences sparked a real interest in working with young performers and in shaping storytelling from the other side of the creative process.
Outside of theatre, Elliot loves taking walks and hikes, drawing, exploring new places, going to the movies, and laughing with friends. He also enjoys digital design, social media, and creating visual content, which have become another extension of his love for storytelling and creativity.
