ABOUT

Hi! My name is Elliot Choate, and I’m a 19-year-old singer-actor-dancer from Berkeley, California, currently pursuing my BFA in Music Theatre at Elon University, as part of the Class of 2029.

I grew up surrounded by the arts, and it pretty quickly became my whole world. As a kid, I spent just as much time in the theatre as I did playing dress up in my older sister’s costumes and building stories with my dolls. I also briefly pursued soccer, which I very officially retired from in fourth grade to focus on theatre full-time. From that point on, I fully committed to performing and was lucky to take part in many productions throughout my childhood.

In High School, I continued to grow as an artist onstage and behind the scenes. I loved working as an assistant director and choreographer at Sixth Street Playhouse, as well as assistant directing Metamorphoses at my High School. Through this, I’ve found a real passion for working with young performers and helping shape storytelling from the outside in.

Outside of theatre, I love taking walks and hikes, drawing, exploring new places, going to the movies, and laughing with friends. I also enjoy digital design and have experience managing social media and creating visual content, which feels like another extension of my love for storytelling and creativity.
